Q: Hdmi picture flickers

Hallo

when I connect my mbp w/ retina to my reciever (denon x4100) the picture turn on and off.

neither cable problems (tried several, current are Audioquest) nor reciever problem (checked with other hdmi machines - dvd, other comp') all works fine.

what should I do?

First of all - thank you.

I'll rephrase - when I connect the comp' to the reciever in order to pass anything to external display (haier lcd) I get a flickering immage which turn on and off alternately. Ot actually works fine with the sound but the pocture turns off every 10-30 seconds and than turn on again.

What are you seeing for the detected display when you are connected to your receiver? Alternately, do you have the same flickering issue when connected directly to the Haier display?

On the mac - the screen shows a nornal pic'. On the lcd - it alternates onn and off.
WHen I connect the mac directly to the haier it's fine.
But - if I connect any kind of hdmi to the reciever - it works fine... Thats y I think the mac is problematic...
