Q: iCloud cannot backup

My iCloud backup has not worked in 12 weeks. I have tried everything that people have suggested - restart phone, delete old iCloud backup, remove iCloud entirely from phone and then add back, etc. Nothing works. It works on our other phones and my wife's phone. I have 170GB of available space which is more than enough. I'm at a loss.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

There could be possibilities of bugs in your phone. Other actions you can try:

Try updating your phone to latest iOS 9.x

    Resetting network settings

Signing out and signing back in

Thanks. I tried all the steps above and still no luck. I tried to back up manually and get the message "the last backup could not be completed."

Could it be something in the apps that it's trying to back up? I have a lot of apps.

It could be. Try backing up one app at a time.

    OR

    Try these steps:

    1. Plug iphone to USB

    2. Turn off in iTunes "backup to iCloud" by choosing "backup to this computer"

    3. Sync

    4. Go to iCloud and delete all previous backups.

    5. Turn on in iTunes "backup to iCloud".

    6. In iPhone click backup to iCloud

    Good Luck!

How do you back up one app at a time?

I will try the other USB backup steps tomorrow, thanks.

Then how would I identify if one of the apps was causing the issue? I don't have an existing backup to edit. I can backup to local computer though iTunes just fine.

II've spoken to apple support today and the engineers are working to resolve this issue. Currently not able to backup to iCloud and will be fixed with next iOS update whenever that may be

Thank you. I suspected that it has to do with Apple. This saves me from spending hours setting back to factory defaults, etc.
