Jan 11, 2016 12:58 PM in response to nicole1285by gmontielh,Siri seems broken after 9.2 update and particularly with iPhone 6s plus. I have 2 and although it always recognizes my voice and writes what I have said correctly, it just can't complete the action requested. It comes back that it has a little problem and try later. I have done all the resets and settings possible and only works for one request and it is "broken" again!!! Installed Cortana () and it works. Not as good as the Siri I was used to but it sure works as expected (at least as MS says it will). So until Apple finally listens, revises and fixes the Siri problem , I will use Cortana for the time being... What's going on in Apple and all these glitches with recent iOS updates????

Jan 14, 2016 12:13 PM in response to nicole1285by NicSpox,Hello,
same problem iphone 6 bought december 2014. The graphic bar of siri is noisy and siri is not responding. Recorded audio message and I have just noise. Reading on internet seems to be the rear mic not working. Audio on calls works good. I try to restore to see if it works and after I will bring it to customer care.

Mar 2, 2016 10:09 AM in response to nicole1285by PNarayan,I am also having this issue with my Iphone 6 brought on Dec 2015. Siri doesnot work. But with headset it hears my voice inputs.
I gave this to an Apple authorized service Center. They have diagnosed this as a hardware issue. I dont understand, My phone mic works well during calls, Voce Memo recording, video recording etc.
I strongly think this is purely a software glitch

Mar 15, 2016 11:18 AM in response to nicole1285by bwt1169,Same problem here. Siri suddenly quit working about a week ago. It does work when I have earbuds/mic plugged in. I have tried a network reset twice to no avail. Maybe a trip to the Apple Store is in my future.

Jun 16, 2016 9:18 AM in response to nicole1285by wcksmith,I've got the same problem. Siri doesn't recognize voice, neither does the Messages app - I can't speak into speaker and have text rendered. That same functionality works great for Google Maps to speak an address. No problems in that app. And I can record voice memos just fine. I've reset all settings, and all other suggestions from this forum and others. Is there a permanent fix out there somewhere?

Sep 16, 2016 6:31 AM in response to bwt1169by bwt1169,As a follow-up to my own post, I took my iPhone 6 to the local Apple store and the tech said that replacing the display screen would fix the problem and cost me $109. When I questioned why the display was the fix he said the mic is connected through it. Being the skeptic that I am, I refused to pay $109 for a 'potential' fix and decided to live with the problem until I could replace the phone in February at a discounted price.
Yesterday I downloaded and installed iOS 10 and voila, Siri is working again. I'm taking my wife out for a nice dinner tonight with the $109 I saved.
