Q: Transferring photos from iphone to mac without a cable
I have an iphone 5s. iOs version 7.0.4.
I can't update the iOs because I have too little storage left on my iphone
So I want to take the photos off and store them on an external hard drive.
I don't have a bonafide apple cable to connect the phone to my macbook air (OsX 10.8.4).
So I was thinking this could be done via airport - but I'm not having any success.
Can anyone help me out with step by step directions, please?
Thank you
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4, also macbook air 11" (OSX 10.8.4)

AirPort or AirDrop? If you meant AirDrop, note that the Mac must be a 2012 or later model and that it must have Yosemite or later.
