Q: there was a problem connecting to the network

It identifies the network correctly   yet when I put in the password - and it is the correct password --  the comment displays "There was a problem connecting to the network.  The WiFi network you're attempting to join cannot be found."  Yet it already has told me that the network is the correct one.  Frustrated!!!!

Is the network you are connecting to your personal one or a public one?  On my personal network, I have access control turned on and when you attempt to connect with a device not authorized, it yields similar behavior.  It will not connect despite having all the correct information.

I'm getting the same error, I woke up to find my Apple TV was asking for my iTunes password for the first time ever without a prompt, then when I try to login, it said error trying to get a response from the Apple Server, now it just says Cannot Connect to iTunes Store, and shows a blank grey screen.  I verified my Apple ID and password on my PC, iPhone, and iPad just now so it's still a working ID, but what is going on with the Apple TV servers?
