Q: Parental controls doesn't work

Parental controls web filter no longer works after upgrade. It doesn't block sites from the blacklist. "Try to limit access to adult websites" doesn't do anything. The new security features that protect the OS X system make it so I can't block Safari and implement a controlled Chrome environment.

Anyone have any clues on this? Maybe I can delete some .plist files in order to reset parental controls or something?

MacBook Air (11-inch Mid 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

    I still haven't found a fix.

Also, the stated specs at the end of my post are wrong. Those were auto-inserted. I have the MBA 11" mid 2013 with OS X 10.11.

I went to the Apple store to see whether they could fix this issue. After four hours of waiting, the only resolution was to reformat my MacBook and to install OS X Yosemite. Whelp.

At this moment in time, it looks like there's no fix. I guess we'll just have to wait and see whether they'll fix this issue in a later OS. One thing is for sure, though. I'll never install software without checking Apple.com again.
