Jan 17, 2016 10:28 AM in response to Defender68by VikingOSX,I would reinstall OS X El Capitan, providing that it was directly from Apple to you, and would be on compatible, physical Apple hardware. I have updated and fresh installed several versions of OS X over the years, and never observed an About This Mac output as shown.

Jan 17, 2016 10:35 AM in response to Defender68by VikingOSX,You may have restored some old files into System areas that are incompatible with El Capitan, and the new 2015 MBP. I would back up your personal data, and reinstall OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 combo update back over the current installation. I would not perform the same restore from Time Machine again that you did previously. This is an update, not wipe and install update, so your home directory should be safe.
