Q: I bought a second hand mac mini for my mother, but forgot to put in the keychain...

To whomever could help me,

I am relativity new to Apple.

I had bought a second hand, 2011 Apple Mac mini for my mom and forgot to put in a Keychain for the Mac mini, was this a bad thing for me to do???

I am using Mac OS X Lion, and I think it has OS X Lion Recovery on it.

The computer kept on asking for the keychain password.  It was confused because I did not initially put one in, and now I am more confused.

I just had wanted to give her a computer that was easy for her to use, so that she can keep in touch with her grandchildren and group friends...

I did not know what to do, or whom to ask, so I had taken in my "new" Apple Mac mini into the shop for it to be fixed.

Here are the specifications on the Apple Mac mini computer that I had bought for her:

Any help, would be greatly appreciated,

Fred

The keychain password is normally the user password, unless someone changed the password. The keychain comes installed as part of the OS.  You can review the article below which covers what Apple recommends for selling a computer. If there are parts of this that weren't done, that may be the problem.
