Q: Upgraded to OS X El Capitan few days ago. Now my macbook pro keeps rebooting....
I upgraded my 15 inch macbook pro (2 years old) to OS X EI Capitan few days ago. It was working fine for 3 or 4 days, but all of sudden, when I came home from outside, I noticed that my macbook pro was rebooting all of sudden. When it reboots, I see a progress bar and it goes off and it starts booting again. It keeps repeating this process without even going to the login screen. I have to turn off the macbook to stop the continuous reboot. I have some backups in the time machine, so I restored the state to the latest installation (5 days old) of OS X El Capitan, but it still doesn't resolve the issue.
I didn't add any hardware since I purchased it. The only hard drive which is connected to my laptop is external USB hard drive which is used as time machine. And I use an external monitor to watch a movie. That's it. And I didn't install any new software since the upgrade.
I ran Disk Utility in the Recovery Mode. And still no luck..

It seems that I need to reinstall the OSX. Is there any other option? If I reinstall the OSX again, do I need to reinstall all the apps again? I am a software developer. I really do not want to go through all the installations again. Started feeling disappointed at apple macbook pro as a new mac user.
I'd appreciated if there is any other option that needs to be recommended.
