    The possible issue in this idea may be in getting the correct drivers for the

    BlueTooth hardware, for use with the device and the computer in question.

    You may need to look into Broadcom wireless adapters (BT) and drivers;

    and given the vintage of the older Apple product and its hardware specs,

    the bluetooth adapter may or may not be compatible.

    The maker has information and help databases online, one such example is

    this http://update.broadcom.com/help/index.htm covers windows OS, etc.

    Newer products seem to be most prevalent and see support at broadcom.com.

    Other maker products may be found online or through resellers of old stock.

    Online resellers such as Amazon offer electric items and bluetooth products

    do appear in a search of their web site content.

    Certain models of G4/G5 portable & tower, had optional BlueTooth installed or

    available as a dealer installed accessory; a wireless card for BT + wi-fi. These

    could be replaced if defective, however going forward they're becoming rare.

    Perhaps someone who still has the older products will see your inquiry & offer

    advice, or links to information online about your specific product.

    Good luck & happy computing!
