Dec 10, 2015 3:33 PM in response to Brian_sdlby sandman1318,I have a freezing issue on my iphone 6s running on ios 9.2. My phone suddenly will show a "call ending" screen, out of the blue, and freeze up. The only way to unfreeze it is to press hold down the power button and the home button at the same time so that the phone reboots. But it's only a temporary fix and may happen again a few minutes later or days later. Apple support said it sounded like the firmware got corrupted. The tech had me back up my phone to itunes and do a restore. The reason for doing the restore from itunes rather than the cloud was so that new firmware would be installed on my phone. It seemed to do the trick as this was a weeks ago and it had not happened again, that is until a few minutes ago. For what its worth, I had also removed some recently installed, questionable apps, that we felt may be causing this to happen. This is quite frustrating and I can only hope the next update will stop this from happening anymore.

Jan 12, 2016 8:33 AM in response to stuart2011by TitanZhang,I have Iphone 6 64GB.
It kept on freezing. I have reset and reinstalled everything a month ago. Now the problem comes back again.
I can not make phone calls and the phone keeps on resetting.
Very frustrating. I will have to switch to other brands if Apple can not fix the basic and serious problem.

Jan 12, 2016 1:47 PM in response to TitanZhangby 13MD,I've an Iphone 6 64gb as well and it is actually painful to use at the moment. Ever since I upgraded to IOS 9 I have had nothing but problems and I'm now running ios 9.2 and the issues are still there. Freezes randomly leaving me no choice but to turn the screen off and on, sometimes I can't even get my password typed in before it freezes. Trying to type is dreadful, characters other than the ones I'm trying to type being pressed, freezing, showing a character being pressed in but nothing being typed. I currently have to turn my phone's screen on/off (sleep) like 100+ times a day. My alarm goes off at 6am in the morning and sometimes I can't swipe to turn it off, incoming calls not being able to answer, playing games is out of the question.
Hope the issues is resolved very soon because my phone is close to unusable and extremely frustrating when trying to carry out the most basic tasks.
Is anyone else experiencing this on 9.2?

Jan 16, 2016 11:03 AM in response to jasonb bby Dakif,Hi all, I think all of you have been patient with Apple as I have also been suffering from the same freezing issues since september 2015. Apple is even trying to convince me that the problem is with me because previously when I backed up my phone, it got corrupted and it's nothing to do with them. I dont know what to do anymore. The very reason we choose Apple is because of it's stability and ease of use. I guess now it's no different from an android.
Dear Jason, may I ask how your phone is doing after your troibleshooting techniques?

Jan 20, 2016 2:36 PM in response to Tmitch1390by keyper,Thanks Tmitch was having a hard time with the phone. I looked at restoring back to IOS 8 but apple aren't signing on that now, so I couldn't, I put off upgrading for months because I heard there were problems. I was stupid enough to think they would be fixed. my touch screen made my phone almost unusable. then I did another update hoping that would be the answer, it made it worse. I was going to goto apple today and throw the phone at them. Then as you suggested turn off Siri, and my phone is working like it should. Shame because I use Siri a lot when i'm driving, I do know either apple get their **** together or Im going to be going Samsung next phone.

Jan 20, 2016 2:47 PM in response to Highwaystar79by keyper,Turning off Siri fixed it for me, I just complained to apple and told them to get their **** together, and fix Siri. I like Siri I use it a lot in the car mostly. Now I cant. but the phone is very useable again now. Give it a go, hope it works for you. Got this suggestion from Tmitch, and it worked for me.

Jan 21, 2016 2:54 AM in response to keyperby Highwaystar79,HI,
The IPhone 6 has some problems. Mine was under warranty so apple replaced it with
a new one. My issue got resolved after the 9.2 update but then it came back again so I had
no option but to get it replaced. The new set is working fine till now.
hope you find a permanent solution.

Jan 25, 2016 11:26 PM in response to Dakifby jasonb b,Well, things were working fine. I updated to 9.2 a week after it came out and thing have been fine UNTIL LATE WEEK!! Keyboard freezing frequently when typing text messages and doing searches. This is driving me nuts. When it freezes, if I continue typing, while keyboard freezes, 10 seconds later you will see what was typed. I don't know what's wrong now.
It seems turnin off the emoji keyboard helped but no so anymore.

Jan 28, 2016 10:21 AM in response to jasonb bby 13MD,Mine hasn't gotten any better or worse since IOS 9 was installed.
I'm having the exact same issues with 9.2.1 as i was having with 9.
I restored my phone to new and it worked ok with no additional apps downloaded on it and I used it for a week with nothing on it. No problems, but as soon as I downloaded some apps for it that's when all my problems came back.. Safari that was working perfectly before became a nightmare once again. Constantly freezing and taking forever to type a sentence.
It's an absolute joke at this stage, I'm currently paying £64 a month for a phone that I can't even rely on to receive calls or send messages as it just freezes up all the time.

Jan 30, 2016 10:19 AM in response to Highwaystar79by ViperTech,All right, I am experiencing the same issues.
So here it goes.
I noticed my charge bar is yellow. Do you know what that is? Well I believe it’s the low power version apple installed to shut all essentials down to bare minimum.
What is interesting is when the phone is doing one of its freeze mistral moments. Its has the jitters where on top of the screen its starting to loose the screen and goes into the white noise. The button doesn’t react or when pressing the buttons the one I do press is not the ones intended. It gotten to the point I had to literally jam my finger up its screen (Press utterly hard). Maybe that why the screen is starting to go crazy,LOL.
So the FIX for temporary, I plug the phone in the charger and wait till its beyond the yellow charge point back to normal and it works perfect again.
Coincidence or not! *
I will be going to the Apple store in a few hours and let them know about this. Knowing me and my bad luck its going to be a 15 year old kids saying to me I'm crazy and don't know what I am talking about, but o well. If I hear otherwise ill be back to post.
So plug in your phone let it charge and make sure it’s not the Auto Conserve Energy thing I was talking about being the issue.
Keep up the good posts.

Feb 1, 2016 10:39 AM in response to ViperTechby ViperTech,Here is why the phone became unresponsive.
There is a manufacturing defect with the wiring inside the
phone or how it was placed together.Apple is aware of this issue and you will need to take it
back to get it checked. In my case everything that everyone has mentioned to turned
certain things on and off only temporarily worked. I even plugged in the phone after
the bar was tallow and then it stopped working. You may want to check your phone at the top of the screen or
press around the ear piece. If your phone works periodically doing this you may
have the same issue I did. There is a gray bar flickering from left to right.
Almost looks like a scan bar. Sometimes it thick and sometime its thin. When
this happens the phone becomes unresponsive.I just got a call from apple to verify if it’s still under warranty
and so forth, so don’t waste your time
here take it to an apple store to get it checked so you can start the process.
The longer you wait the worse it gets and you may not be able to change your
phone or it may cost you $350.00 to replace.Software is not the issues this time. It’s a hardware
problem…I hope this help you guys/girls if you happen to have the
same issues.Apple On!

Feb 1, 2016 5:53 PM in response to ViperTechby Dakif,Dear ViperTech and all other users,
I concur with the findings of ViperTech. After working very closely with a senior technician for 3 months and after a strong email to the 'top', they finally admitted that after all the diagnosis test sent from my phone to the server, my phone had 'hardware issues'. I rebooted and restored a fresh copy of the IOS more than a dozen times and the problems persisted. Apple did not specify the issue, nonetheless they finally caved in to tell me they will be sending me a brand new iphone 6s (I was previously using a 6 plus), for no additional charge. Currently the phone is zippy and efficient again without a glitch.
Apple would do all they can to ensure they do not have to give out new iphones, so they would never admit to a phone having hardware issues. The lesson here is sharing of knowledge and coming together to push for our rights, especially when we spent so much for the device. Don't give up, let them know it is a common issue with their device and insist on a complete change.
I would also like express my deep my disappointment for the 3rd party service centers here in Singapore, they are truly unprofessional. They stand around and want to get rid of you as fast as possible. I sent my phone in for diagnosis and they have just returned me my phone telling me nothing is wrong and my backup is the problem. I am sure all of you here will know how disappointing it is when we have a legitimate problem.
Warmest Regards,
Dakif
