Q: Email account blocked

For some reason my Hotmail account is blocked on my Mac. I can't send or receive email. It works perfectly fine on my iPhone and iPad.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Use the mail connection doctor to verify your mail settings. Also try logging into hotmail's website to verify the username and password are correct.

I went on Outlook's website and the password worked. Then I opened the Connection Doctor and when it prompted me to enter my password, it said "verification failed".
