Q: Forward pages document by email

I use PAGES to compose a news-sheet that I forward to a co-ordinator of a group and up until recently was able to activate SHARE, click on Send a copy - and select By email.  Now after selecting Share there are 2 options 'Share a link via iCloud' or 'Send a copy'.  After selecting 'Send a copy' the options are then 'Messages' or 'Airdrop'.  I have chosen 'Airdrop' and sent a test copy to myself which has never arrived.  Have I missed and announcement to to with changes.  My updates are current. I am running Yosemite 10.10.5.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Quit Pages. Visit the System Preferences : Extensions panel : Share Menu entries. Is the Mail item already checked, or is present with an empty box to be checked by you?

Thanks for your reply.  In Share Menu entries - although the tick boxes for Mail, Messages & AirDrop are ticked they do not show up in Blue.  I am now aware I can overcome my problem by the Export To from the File menu of Pages.   I am still puzzled all the same why the facility is no longer in Share.

There may be an issue with the Launch Services database in OS X. You are right. It shouldn't be happening. Quit Pages, and other applications. From Launchpad, click the Other category, and then click Terminal. From this Apple Support article, triple-click the scrollable command sequence, and then paste it into your open Terminal window. It is non-destructive, and takes about 5 seconds to run. Quit Terminal afterwards.

I would shut the Mac down, and then power it on. Check System Preferences : Extensions : Share Menu that the Mail item is still checked. Quit System Preferences. Open any Pages document, and via Share toolbar item, see if the Mail sub-menu item has returned, and is functional.

If there is no change from the above paragraphs, then I have the same command with more comprehensive settings that has been known to work in the Pages Support Community when the above Apple command sequence did not. Let me know, and I will post it here for you.

Many thanks for your response.  Sorry - age is against me - can you explain 'triple-click the scrollable command sequence'.  Where do I learn about this move?

If you clicked on that hyperlinked Apple article that I provided, you will see a new page with a horizontal window in the middle of the page containing a (scrollable) UNIX command sequence.

You left-click the mouse button (or left-tap on a trackpad) three times to select the contents of that horizontal window. Once it is selected, you can copy/paste it into an opened Terminal application window. That deposits that command, and by pressing return, it will silently run. When it is complete, you will receive another Terminal prompt, and you can quit the Terminal app.

Many thanks.  Have followed those instructions but unfortunately no joy.  Going into Extensions - Actions is ticked in blue.  Share Menu shows Mail, Messages & AirDrop ticked but not coloured blue.
