Q: Help delete MailTab for Outlook

I am having an issue with my macbook due to the app MailTab for Outlook which I can not remove because I can not get it to quit. Every time I try to delete the app or put it in the trash I get a message saying I can't because the app is open. How can I permanently remove this app?

MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), iOS 9.2

Hi DaufuskieKate,

Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

If you can't remove MailTab for Outlook from your Mac because it's open, press command + Q to quit the app or force it to close--Force an app to close on your Mac.

If the app relaunches unexpectedly or you still can't remove it, start up in safe mode and try again.

To Remove an app, try opening up the launchpad and click down on the app for a couple of seconds until it starts to jiggle. An x Should appear on the app, click it and delete the little rascal.

Go to activity monitor,highlight Mailtab,then hit the cross in the top left hand corner,which closes it,then when you hit control,option,esc it will show up in Forcequit enabling you to move it to Trash where it belongs
