Q: looking into

   As of now we have TIVO and love it, and i'm looking for apple tv for movies and more verity on tv shows. Can I have both in my house and use both on 1 TV at the same time, ( like using source to move back and forth of selections). Also buying movies and such goes to the cloud, does it effect my other apple products ( mac,iPad,phone) do I need to purchase extra GB to the cloud if I'm looking into apple tv.
