Q: does anybody use Sensor X to monitor internal temps on the Mac Mini?

Is anybody using Sensor X to monitor internal temps on their Mac Mini(mid2011)? And are your temps over 150 degrees?

I have used Macs Fan Control on my 2012 Mac Min and have listed CPU temps as high as 90C and even a little higher

    90 C is 194 F

I've owned 3 Macmini models and have never experienced any overheating issues. In fact, I've never even heard the fan.

Why do you think that you need to monitor the heat temps?

I have heard of several problems linked to running on high temps. I have been wondering how high the temp is. I have also wondered if the older mini can be a cause.I even removed the bottom plate and bought a stand to mount it on its side. But when I am getting warnings about hitting 206 degrees and the exaust fan doesn't activate I start to wonder what could be wrong. I have a model mid 2011 with a slower graphics card. all the software updates can't make it work faster. It is way out of date. Could a newer model mini help the cure?

Either, you opened the MacMini to upgrade the ram and/or drive and inadvertently disconnected the fan power plug; or the fan is kaput. Take it to an Apple Store for a free evaluation or call Apple Care Support.

    Have a nice day.
