Q: Screen sharing.

I have an iMac and just purchased a MacBook.  I want to access files and be able to access the iMac from the MacBook  I was able to share files with a user profile in "file sharing", but when it came to "screen sharing", I could not see that user in the choices.  How can I add it to allow the MacBook to take control of the iMac's screen?  Thanks!

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Can you log into your iMac via Screen Sharing with an account (admin) on your iMac? For example, let's say you have an account on your iMac that is an Administrator and the log in is userID of admin. Log in with that ID and its password and see if screen sharing works.

Try adding Administrators and then connect to the iMac using an admin account user name/password from an admin account on the iMac.
