My 2009 Mac Book Pro got fried due to water spillage. The hard drive was spared and all the data transferred over to an external hard drive. I have information on my iCal on the laptop that wasn't transferred. I was told by the tech who did the transfer that the information would be stored on the app itself and can't be transferred over. The computer was so old and I didn't set up iCloud on it, so the calendar information was never stored on iCloud
He told me that if I found a computer that is the same model (A1286), I could take out the hard drive and but mine in, go to iCal and my information should then be seen. Is this true? PLEASE tell me it is.
