Jan 27, 2016 9:46 AM in response to dalefrombedfordby Ethmoid,Why have you posted this in an iWeb forum, which relates to an application for building websites? Did you not bother to look before you posted?
You need to click on Safari to open it and then go to Preferences and click on Search and then uncheck all the boxes there and it should work again. Select from the drop down list what search engine you want to use and you can leave suggest alternatives ticked and you can keep favourites if you want.
Close Safari and then open it again and it should work. If it does not work, then go back to Preferences and then Search and uncheck everything. Close Safari and open it again and it should work.
Look before you post next time though so you post in the correct forum!
This must be a bug from the updates, because it seems to be happening on Safari on a Mac as well as the iPhone if you have updated the OS to 9.2.1.
