    Hi leross,

    I'm not sure what app you are asking about for the sound settings for your Apple Watch.  But, in general, you would choose your Apple Watch as the source for your music.  Once you pair your Apple Watch with bluetooth headphones, you will be able to adjust the volume.

    Listen to music on your Apple Watch

    Play music from your Apple Watch

    You can also enjoy music on your Apple Watch without your iPhone when you pair with Bluetooth headphones. Open the Music app, scroll up, then tap your Apple Watch to choose it as the source. Then scroll back down and tap any of these options:

    • Now Playing. Play or pause what's currently playing on your Apple Watch.
    • My Music. After you sync a playlist to your Apple Watch, you can browse your music by Albums, Artists, and Songs.
    • Playlists. Use the steps below to sync a playlist to your Apple Watch.

    Take care,

    It is not an AP.  If your swipe up on the watch face and then swipe swipe right, it is the last page you come too. On the Apple Watch Contact Page...the one that has the symbols for Airplane Mode; Do not Disturb; Silent Mode; Pinging your iPhone, the remaining symbol is grayed out.  On an Apple TV, it is the symbol for speaker selections assuming you have more than one Apple TV, etc.  My question is:  How do I activate this symbol?

    Hi

    When controlling music playback from your watch with your iPhone selected as the music source, the AirPlay button within the Settings Glance does not presently offer any functions. Instead, to send audio to another device using AirPlay:

    • View the music playback controls on your watch:
      • In the Music app > Now Playing, or;
      • In the Now Playing Glance (while viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the watch face > swipe left / right to the glance).
    • Press firmly on the screen > tap the AirPlay button > choose a device (for example: iPhone, AirPlay speaker, Apple TV).

    When playing music with Apple Watch selected as the music source (using the synced playlist), the AirPlay button in the Settings Glance reportedly enables switching between Bluetooth sources that are paired directly with the watch (eg headphones, speakers).

    Thanks for the detailed explanation...it worked.  Suggestion:  When you say press firmly on the screen, I found you need to press firmly on the "speaker" button located at the bottom center of the display>then tap the AirPlay button>etc.

    You're most welcome!

    You may find that the firm press works more reliably within the Music app (pressing anywhere on the screen).
