Q: turn off LG TV via apple TV remote does not work

I have Simplelink on but Apple remote is not able work to power down LG TV LG 65UF9500 model.

It turns off my receiver (Pioneer elite sc-67) but the TV does not turn off. It turns on the TV but off does not work.

HDMI control is on and it is CEC compatible.

    On my LG, the Apple TV shuts off the receiver and AppleTV. However the LG display is the square box that says no signal. If you wait about five minutes the LG TV will automatically shut off because it has no signal from the simple link.

    If the Apple TV is connected to the receiver and it turns itself off and the receiver it is clearly sending the correct signs, it is obviously the receiver that isn't passing it through to the TV.
