Q: How do I import RAW photos in El Capitan

OS X El capitan 10.11 says it has system level support for RAW photos including my Camera , a Canon 60D. When I import I cannot see any RAW photos, only JPG in Photo Version 1.3 (350.23.0)

If you are shooting JPEG plus RAW (something that as far as I can see makes no sense at all since it wastes a lot of space for no benefit) the Photos will stack the two with the JPEG showing by default - if you want the RAW then in edit mode under the image menu select use RAW as original
