Q: remote not connect been on charge all night how to pair

remote ios app works.. but bluetooth remote that came with apple tv no longer works, had it on charge all night. push all buttons and nothing happens.

how do I test it reboot it... get it working again...

Press and hold the menu and volume up button for a few seconds whilst the remote is near to the Apple TV.

Using the iOS app, I would navigate to settings, remotes, Bluetooth and see if is connected or showing up in other devices.
