Q: I have downloaded HUNDREDS of photos and I don't know where they are.

Jan 27, 2016 9:32 AMby elcpu,Do not delete the photos on the phone until you can verify that they are safely on your Mac. Then make a backup of the photos from the Mac to an external drive. This is critical with irreplaceable pictures. Depending on your settings, deleting them on the phone could delete them on iCloud as well.

First try a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. You will not lose anything.
If the above does not allow you record still, connect your iPhone to your computer, open iTunes, select the phone and on the Summary page that opens there will be a usage bar at the bottom. How much open storage does it show? How much does it show for Other?
