Q: Why doesn't the iBook store have a bigger book selection

I greatly prefer reading books using the iBooks app. I don't really like the Kindle app experience. However I am getting quite frustrated with the lack of selection available from the iBookstore. I usually search there first. Inevitably, I find myself having to go to Amazon to buy.

I will admit that my tastes are not as mainstream as most people. But should that matter?

Apple can only sell in a particular country the books that they are licensed to sell there - it's possible that the rights-holder/publishers have signed exclusive agreements with other ebook stores/apps.

You can let Apple know your views on this via

http://www.apple.com/feedback

but in end the you need to contact the publishers of the books you want and ask them to put them in Apple's store as well as Amazon's.
