Q: what is the expected battery life for a new battery in a Mac Book Pro?
What is the expected battery life for a new battery in a Mac Book Pro? I'm running OS X El Capitan10.11.3
I just had my battery replaced, and today I watched it and I got 7 1/2 hours from a charge. This doesn't seem like much.
MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Apple advertised 8-9 hours of battery life on the 15" MacBook Pro 2010. That is an extremely optimistic number under ideal, light use conditions.
Your 7.5 hours is fine.
