El Capitan is the operating system. You cannot remove it. The computer would not run.

What do you mean, exactly, by "conflicting" with your printer?

I have the same problem.  It has been doing this since the day I upgraded to El Capitan.  Every 3 times I try to print a PDF or in numbers or Safari, it shuts down.  If I print in PSE 11 or Microsoft Word, it works fine.  But the majority of the work I do is in Numbers and it drives me crazy.  My Kodak 5250 works fine but it just died and I need to be able to use my Hero 9.1.

For clarification...you are not talking to Apple here. The people like me who attempt to help others are volunteers, not Apple employees.

You need to contact Kodak and ask them when they will issue a software update. It is NOT the responsibility of Apple (or any other software developer) to assure that all third party devices will work with software updates. Apple notifies third party manufacturers of the particulars of updates well before general release to the public.

How is this resolved?  Looks like it is happening all the time. Every update there are issues with BASIC function.  Currently running El Capitan 10.11.3 - same song third verse.  My CanoScan 9000F will no longer work with the new update.  What is so secret that basic function cannot stay the same.  And, if for some crazy reason they cannot - why can't Apple a FIX to resolve simple issues like this.  I am involved in a major photo transfer due out on Monday.  Now my equipment has lost basic function and my editing software/hardware is useless.  ...but I can log into iCloud - USELESS! [this is where I am suppose to add a smily face so everyone knows I am a sane person] very frustrating.  Anyone know a work-a-round?
