Q: IOS 9 copy and paste does not always work

I have also been having this problem since iOS 9.  I'm quite sure it's an iOS bug, as it happens in many applications.  The problem seems to be with the COPY side.  It simply does NOT always place something in the clipboard when you do a copy.  It's gotten so bad, I just now have gotten in the habit of doing copy TWICE before trying to paste.

I am having this copy and paste problem on my 6 plus running iOS 9.2.1 and I have tried everything! Were you ever able to get the problem resolved?

I Also post a thread under iphone reporting this copy and paste bug which only copied the first word and if copied the second word, it paste the first word instead, seem like the clipboard fail to update itself! It's super annoying as it use this feature almost every day! Why is Apple cannot even fix this issue or anyone reported up to Apple as its such an important basic festure but till today May 17 using iOS 9.3.2 and nothing is done to it! Wake up apple!

Copy the word twice don't always works as well, sometimes the "copy, define, share" when it highlight a word and press define or share nothing work too, the share menu don't show up as well, define got nothing. It's really annoying with this copy and paste issue, a simple task but Apple fail to make it work and worst is that Apple DID NOTHING to fix it.

I could select and highlight content but the Copy command was not appearing.

As you suggested, closing all open windows fixed it for me, thanks!

tarmmaker's tip helped me.  Closed all apps, reopened messages, copy text, then paste showed up in new message that I was trying to paste it into.
