Temperature is a function of the number and types of applications that you have open, the ambient temperature and how the MBP itself is physically installed.  I have witnessed temperatures as low as 38°c (rare) up to 90°c (resource intensive applications).  Using a few non-intensive applications will usually result in temperatures in the 40°c - 50°c range.

    Ciao.

Thank you for the answer. I have betwean 50 and 60 C when non-intensive applications running, like chrome with 2-3 tabs, and finder. Under 10.6.8 SL.3 gigs of Ram. But that can jump quickly to 72-80 C when edit pictures in Lightroom 4 or use Photoshop CS 5. Or just open more tabs in chrome. So that's normal.?

I just bought this unit and cleaned  it  and re-paste it, and i'm qurious if this temperatures are good or bad.?  My room temperature it's about 25 C.

Pardon for the late reply, the forum software has been problematic and responses were not being posted for the last few days.

The non-intensive temperatures are a tad higher than what I experience, but that may be a reflection of Google Chrome, which among browsers, is a resource glutton.  I use Firefox.

The 72°c - 80°c temperatures seem perfectly normal for the activities you are running.

    Ciao.
