Q: Wacom Graphire not working with Mavericks

So I recently picked up an older Wacom Wireless Graphire Pen Tablet (CTE-630BT) and I have not been able to set it up on Mavericks 10.9.2.  I have been able to get the express keys to work, but the pen has not been detected.

I have tried installing many of the given legacy drivers on Wacom's U.S. and European sites including:

5.3.3.-3

5.3.3.-2

5.3.0.-3

6.2.0.-w4

6.3.7.-3

and after many attermpts on each of these, and a couple others possibly, (using the Wacom Utility to remove them, reseting my tablet a few times.  I am

If there is anyone out there with any insight, I would be quite grateful.  Thanks!

edit: Also, the tablet didn't come with a USB Bluetooth receiver, I was just using the internal one on my rMBP.

Some day, Apple will probably drop support for executing 32 bits binaries (they are shipping 32 bits versions of all the system libraries with OSX), and we will lose that solution too...

Excellent! Full mouse control on my old Graphire 2 works in Yosemite.
The preferences plane doesn't load in System Preferences, but I'm happy with functionality.
Going in and tweaking the preferences files probably would be a solution.
Unable to go into 32-bit mode as suggested elsewhere, as Yosemite does not include 32-bit code it seems.

My Wacom CTE-440/s is now working perfectly on OS X El Capitan.

You really knows how it works.

It is nice to start a new year with tips like yours. Happy 2016 and thanks a lot, guy!

Thank you so much. I've been struggling with not being able to adjust the preferences for weeks!

I considered your post is very helpful, but,  I would like to know if you can configure the pen and table buttons?  I can open and configure something in the preferences, but in special theses buttons, I can't. The problem is that, immediately begins writing the pen, and I haven't control when start and stop. Please anybody can help me? this is a good graphic table. Thank you

Hola Antonio, ¿puedes configurar y usar los botones del lápiz? si es así, te ruego me indiques como lo has hecho, estoy desesperado con la tableta. Gracias

Hello Antonio, can you set up and use the pen buttons? If so, I beg you indicate me as you did, I'm desperate with the tablet. Thank you

Came here to say thanks for the tips - the links to the legacy drivers page on Wacom's site are dead, and their Support page won't even pull up a list of drivers for Graphire products.

For record - I have an OLD Graphire ET-0405-U and required Wacom's driver pro620-w4_int to get it working on my MBA running 10.9.5.

I haven't checked to make sure all the functionality is still there, but the prefs pane did open and I can use the stylus to draw.  That's all i really needed it for.

Interested in this too. There are simply no options showing.

For anyone that is still reading this, my Graphire 2 (ET-0405-U) works perfectly using the 605.3 drivers using MacOS 10.11.5. Not sure where I got it, its been a long time.

Here's where I found the 6.20 driver. Works with my Macbook Pro running Yosemite 10.11.6, minus the preferences, as noted below.
