Q: Sending back a 20GB 3G Click Wheel to Apple

I have a 20GB 3G Click Wheel iPod (2004) that is reading corrupt when connected to iTunes. I cannot restore it. Is there any way to send it back to Apple instead of dropping it in a recycling bin at places like Target or Best Buy? I should also mention that the warranty has long since expired on it.

Any help is appreciated.

NOTE: If you can take it to an Apple Store, you can get a 10% discount toward a new iPod.
