Q: Problem with Keychain and AppleID
A few weeks ago I bought a 13-inch macbook pro retina display in the USA, and everything was working great. I had logged into my Apple ID and had zero problems. I then turned off my computer and went back to China. When I turned on my computer once in China, something happened and now every time I open an app (also every 5-10 minutes) a dialogue box comes up that says, "Keychain 'login' cannot be found." and the two options are "Cancel" and "Reset to Defaults". If I click cancel, the dialogue box just pops up again, and I have to repeat several times before it goes away for good. If I hit "Reset to Defaults" it will ask me if I am sure I want to do this and then ask me to input my login password.
When I turned on my computer once getting to China, I also realized that it had signed me out of my Apple ID because it started asking for my password. After putting in my password (through the Settings app and then click on iCloud and input my password), this Keychain dialogue box came up "Keychain 'login' cannot be found to store '1324332827.'" Then the same process I describe above happens - two options listed above, etc. Then a new dialogue box comes up that says, "Keychain 'login' cannot be found for 'XXX@outlook.com.'" (This is my Apple ID email email) Once I close this box by either of the two methods described above, another dialogue box comes up that says, "You can't sign in at this time. Try signing in again later." I have tried signing in many times and the same exact thing continues to happen.
What the **** is going on here? I would love some advice. Thank you very much, it is very frustrating that I finally bought a new computer and almost immediately encounter a problem I have never even heard of. Does it have something to do with me bringing it to China as soon as I bought it, i.e. could it think it has been stolen or something? Seems improbable to me, but can't think of any other reason it started as soon as I got to Beijing.
Thank you!!!
