Q: How does one clean a retina display

I tried everything. Distilled and plain water leaves streaks and smudges.  Its not a big deal, But what is the best way to clean a retina screen without leaving what seems to look like oily streaks?

Wish I had read this before using my Insignia Screen Cleaner, because it just dissolved a large portion of the coating on my Retina Display.

Take it into an Apple Store and show them. I recently purchased a used 15" Retina from Mid-2012 and after trying to clean the screen with a microfiber cloth, I had some minor delamination occur. After researching the issue (this is my first Retina experience) I discovered that this is an issue they are well aware of and are quietly making efforts to replace screens that have had this occur.

Apparently they will replace screens up until 3 years after purchase or before October 2017, whichever is longer. Took mine in and they happily agreed to replace the entire screen assembly. As Tom Petty once said "The waiting is the hardest part."
