Feb 5, 2016 3:59 PM in response to 74day2dayby a brody,Run Etrecheck from http://www.etrecheck.com and copy/paste the results here for someone to help you.
If the Mac is newer than July 20, 2011, run the built-in hardware test, otherwise find the original discs to run the hardware test for Intel Macs.
If you don't have the original discs, you may be able to construct it using the information on this page: https://github.com/upekkha/AppleHardwareTest
If the hardware test is unrevealing, either the Etrecheck results could help us isolate it, or it might be an issue with your RAM. See my FAQ*:

Feb 6, 2016 4:12 AM in response to 74day2dayby OGELTHORPE,Install a temperature/fan speed monitoring application.
Open ACTIVITY MONITOR top ALL PROCESSES and set CPU to display b\values from high to low.
When the MBA becomes hot and the fans start spinning fast, post images of both for review.
Ciao.
