Q: Apple Pay iWatch

I got a new credit card. I have cleared all old cards out and loaded the new on the phone. When I try to pay with my iwatch the correct (and only card) is shown, but when I when double-click to pay the old card comes back up with 'card unavailable'.

    Hi

It is possible that your watch was not presented correctly to the merchant's terminal (if your payment details cannot be read by the terminal, it will result in the error message that you describe).

To use Apple Pay on your watch, quickly double-press the side button. Your default card will be displayed. If you have added other cards and wish to use one of them instead, swipe to switch between cards. With your preferred card displayed, hold your watch up to the terminal:

    - The watch face should be facing and parallel with the terminal's own screen (you should not be able to see the watch face whilst paying), aligned centrally with the contactless logo on the terminal screen and held closer than 10cm.

    - It should be held in that position for up to a few seconds, until you hear the confirmation beep and haptic pulse.

Adding a card to your iPhone does NOT automatically add it to your Watch. You have to add that new card to to your Watch separately using the Watch app.
