Q: I dropped my iPhone and now it won't turn on

Hi All,

I dropped my iPhone this morning and now it won't turn on. It was fully charged. Originally, I could see that when I pressed the buttons the screen would light up faintly (although nothing was showing on the screen). I then pressed and held the home button and the on/off button to reset it. After I did this nothing happened and the screen no longer lights up faintly. It is completly dead. Does anyone have any solutions for me? Any other tricks I can try?

Thanks a ton for your advice. I dropped my phone sometime back and it won't turn on. I was worried if the display was gone or was it the phone in total. Tried your solution of holding the Home & Power button down for 25-30 seconds and it worked like a charm! Thanks again..

Just press the Home and the Power button together for about 40 seconds, the

screen comes back to life. I had to do it thrice before it started working

properly so hold tight. hope it works for you as well.

Make an appointment at the nearest Apple store to have your iPhone evaluated for free.

Once the diagnostics are complete, the staff will explain your options.

Same problem i had, around mid night i dropped my phone and then i was not turning on. I kept it on charging and it started giving distorted display like in old games when game will be corrupted so it was keep on giving moving from upside to downside of screen, moving image of apple logo and hello was written next. But in the morning i woke up and then i read in some other forums that ipad display was working when somebody slapped ipad on their hand. I tried it and after that my iphone started light and bright like nothing happened.

So, if you have same issue you can try this with patience.

    Good luck.

Hi, I recently dropped my phone in the toilet and it started working a couple weeks after that but the middle button didn't work and the back camera but other than that the phone was functional. Now I dropped my phone on the kitchen floor and the screen turned black I tried everything and I was ****** because I see all I had to do was push the middle button and the power button but my middle button wasn't working. So i was trying everything. I got so mad that I started banging it against the wall, and I took my android and hit the iphone too. (i'm 16 don't judge) lol. But the phone works again BUT i can't add pressure to it like if I put my phone case on it, it turns off or it freezes. Can somebody tell me what might of happened. Thanks
