Q: Where does it say that music uploaded to iCloud music library would be automatically downloaded to my phone?

Question: Where did I miss the part that [all] the songs uploaded to the iCloud Music Library would be *automatically* downloaded to my phone?

That is my question. Now, I would like very very much to get this off of my chest. I will be very disappointed if this post gets deleted.

Being a IBM/PC man all my life, I started with Apple with the iPhone 3GS several years ago. I loved it. The thing I liked most about the 3GS, was the iOS at the time, and the UI of the 3GS. It was big, boxy buttons, and I loved it. Then I upgraded my phone to a 4S, and the UI was completed changed. Everything was flat, blah buttons that didn't really appeal to me anywhere near the 3GS's. But I had my reasons for going with iPhone, so I stuck with them. I've updated my iOS and phones over the years, upgraded to a 5S, which I thought was physically shaped and sized perfectly, and am currently using an iPhone 6S and an iPad Air 2. I love them both.

Apple Music allows you to use an "iCloud Music Library" which allows you to listen to all of your music on any of your devices, anywhere, anytime. I have put off actually using the iCloud Music Library for several, several months, because I was worried it would make me run over my data plan if I decided to use it. So I only subscribed to Apple Music, never using the IML part. But the other day I realized I didn't have my personal music collection on my phone in my pocket, and that was the reason I try to get 64GB iPhones, because my collection is about 40GB, and what's better than having your entire music collection in your pocket? So last night, I put my music on my computer, and added it to iTunes. It wanted to upload about 2200 songs from my collection of about 15,000. I didn't think that was too bad, it was better than having to upload 8,000 or 10,000, so I purposely stayed up during midnight to 5AM, which is when my satellite internet is free. I told it, do it. Upload songs to the IML. Let's do it. So I stayed up until 5AM, and had to pause iTunes uploads because it wasn't free anymore. So I woke up the next morning to find my phone was blowing up with emails and text messages from AT&T, updating me on my data usage, which went over, and went over AGAIN within 5 minutes. Each OVER costs me $15 on my next bill, which is added as a "courtesy", lol. The point is, I put off using IML for several months because mostly, I was worried about going over on my data. Last night I was fine using my satellite internet during free time, but then when I went to bed, Apple Music decided to push all the songs I uploaded to IT, onto my phone, using my LTE since I had turned off WiFi for the night. My phone apparently downloaded 6.1GB worth of music this morning, all while I was asleep, and oh so fast. Now I have about 1600 songs on my iPhone, and have to practically turn off all cellular data for the next 2 weeks until I reset. So, I ask again, where did I miss the part that the personal tracks uploaded to IML would be AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADED to my phone?

Because I didn't do it for months because I was worried about going over on my data plan. Despite all my research and attempts to prevent that, I failed. And it cost me money. Sigh.
