Q: Download, 'save as', sidebar - favorites gone, not hidden -, how to re-enable?

Hi,

MBP early 2011, Mountain Lion,

When I 'save as' in google chrome, it always used to show my favorites in the sidebar, making it very quick to save files. Suddenly since yesterday this disappeared. It is not 'hidden' either, it is just completely gone, there is nothing in the sidebar.

When I open finder however, the favorites are still there. I cannot wrap my head around this, have been searching through all the settings in chrome and finder already, but unfortunately have not been able to find anything.

Any solution to this?
