    Howdy S.l.f.f.

I understand that you're looking to address multiple contacts in a new email message. Fortunately this can be done by opening the Contacts application, selecting the desired contacts, then dragging them to the To: field of a new message.

To complete this task, hold down the Command key on your keyboard as you select the different contacts; this will hi light them in blue. Once you have the contacts selected, click and hold any of the blue contacts and drag to the To: field of a new email message.

    Cheers!

Morning Allen,  I originally had os x 10.7.5 then went up to EL Capitan. when as you would know I sent mail in the past , I would on the send mail page , go to the toolbar and hit contacts , scroll through the list and double click the name and that would come up on the address field then press send..I tried your way without any success . In the customise your toolbar window there is no contacts icon to drag to field or in the toolbar at the top of the screen..I guess i'll have to carry on using over again the blue circle thingie to gain access to contacts.

Thank for your reply and have a great day

    Chris

    S.l.f.f.,

My apologies for being unclear! In order to select multiple contacts and drag them to a new message in Mail you'll need to have the Contacts app open separately. The Contacts app can be found via Spotlight, Launchpad or in your Applications folder.

Mac Basics: Spotlight helps you find what you‘re looking for

Mac Basics: Launchpad is the fast way to find and open your apps

    All my best.
