Q: OSX10.10.5 can't find quicktime
New to me 2008 macbook pro with yosemite OS X 10.10.5 loaded this morning I want to load my old record collection to a memory stick. I can not find quicktime on this old macbook?

Hey maczr1,
I understand that you can't find QuickTime on your MacBook Pro. That is something that I can help you out with,
QuickTime is located in the Applications folder unless it has been moved. I would try using Spotlight to search for it. To do this, click the Magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of your screen and type QuickTime to see if it finds it. If it does, you can either click on it or just press Return on the keyboard to launch it. Take a look at the first article for information on using Spotlight.

If it does not show up, you will need to reinstall OS X to bring it back. The reason for this is that QuickTime is part of OS X and the only way to bring this back is a reinstallation. Take a look at the next article for more details.
