Q: won't let me purchase sample i've been reading on my iPad

I click the BUY button, it asks for my Apple ID, the little circle begins for a few seconds and then it stops.

I tried it several times and the same thing happens.

And now the sample has disappeared from my book shelf.

I use the Canadian iBook store.

I was trying to purchase James Elmore "Perfidia"

Maybe I'm in the wrong group because there is no button below of iPad, however, there is one for my MacBook Air.

MacBook Air, iOS 7.0.4

You can, presuming the Apple ID you have signed into the iTunes Store on your Mac, is the same one you have signed into the iTunes & Apps Store on your iPad. Once you open the app, and select Books or All, you should see the book with a little cloud next to it. Tap the cloud to download to your device.

    Cheers,

I've purchased more than 20 books from the iBook store but, for some odd reason, this purchase does not go through.

As I said, even my sample book has disappeared.

It is also not listed in my Purchases, so the transaction is not completing.

However, I have successfully purchased it via my MacBook Air and it even opens at my bookmarked page!

But it is ghosted on my iPad.

I'll wait to see if it downloads correctly.

Thank you for your prompt response.
