Feb 14, 2016 12:31 PM in response to TaylorAbiby Duane,It sounds your MacBook Pro open is going into hibernate mode.
Before you press the power button... How did you put the MacBook Pro to sleep? Did you just let it go to sleep while it was open?

Feb 14, 2016 1:47 PM in response to TaylorAbiby Canadianfitdad,I'm having the same issues. I was updating the software and when it rebooted it was on the loading screen (after I log in) and then it just shut down. I've tried every trouble shooting tactic I could find online (safe mode included) and it's still not working.

Feb 14, 2016 2:26 PM in response to Duaneby TaylorAbi,MY wife was the last to use it and my guess is she closed the lid without shutting down and let it go to sleep. When I opened the lid today I couldn't get any applications to open up. Tried resetting the smc and haven't had any luck. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!
