Q: Can't boot into windows after resizing partitions

I tried to resize my bootcamp and mac partitions recently

I cannot boot into windows now

Get an error about missing MBR

Do you think you could help me here?

I read about using GPT fdisk on another thread

These are the results I got from it

Wanted to check before doing anything

sorry, does DU UI mean Disk Utility User Interface ? As in the "app" which is in the Utilities folder ?

when I do a first aid on disk0 from within this "app" no such output related to each partitions sector info shows up.

also, it doesn't look like debug mode works ... because when i run disk utility "app" the "Debug" drop down menu is not available.

the only things I am able to see are what I output via terminal.

In the disk utility "app" - beneath disk0, there are listed only the Macintosh HD partition and the Windows partition.

Boot into Internet Recovery (not Local Recovery), and run Disk Utility. Check if the UI is the old version or the new ELC version? It should be the old version.

i'm not certain that there is a difference between internet recovery and normal recovery ? holding down COMMAND + R brings up the apple logo and then recovery mode loads. it shows that i am connected to my wifi network when i'm in recovery.

the version of DU is the same in both recovery and normal boot os 10 is 15.0 (1511.3).

are you looking for an older version of DU ? i tried looking around for a way to revert back to the older DU in order to get back the 'debug' option, i don't think i can do that because i never use time machine.

what's interesting about HDM is that i created boot media that i had to use in order to bypass system integrity protection .... i used that in order to resize/shift the existing partitions. when i run recovery mode on my mac, is SIP still enabled ?

Try Command+Opt+R during Boot and check the version of DU. Please see Re: Ran Bootcamp, now have an invisible 30gb partition as an example.

You can use GParted to create a exFAT part as well.

one more thing .... on the windows side i don't see a drive in file explorer ....

in disk management it appears as unallocated space .... am i supposed to turn it into a simple volume before i start using it for both OS's ? i don't want to do anything on the windows side, last time i did that i corrupted the GPT.
