Q: Automatically moving old photos to Network Drive

I have a Macbook Air with only a 128GB SSD in it.  I love how it automatically imports all of my photos from my families phones (and we have eye-fi for our DSLR camera).  With this many cameras going, the little 128GB drive gets eaten up quickly by the photos app.  We like to use the app for newer photos, but we tend to just periodically export old photos to a Network attached (through our ASUS router) 500GB HD.  This is a very tedious process.  Is there a way (or at least a suggestion to Apple for future implementation) to control the Photos library size to automatically dump old pictures to an external and/or network drive once the local library exceeds a specific size (say, 25GB?)

Thanks!
