Feb 13, 2016 11:31 PM in response to savita88by ManSinha,Tap the icon with an arrow coming out of the box after you have selected a picture. Then tap Airdrop and if your MBP is in range it should show up as an icon on the phone. Once oh tap that the image appears in preview on the MBP via a notification. I do these steps many times when I use the Mac to answer questions on this forum
by the way swipe up from below and invoke control center. Please make sure Airdrop is not turned off.

When I tried it now and my son was close by with his MBP, his was seen immediately and transfer easily done. Mine is invisible: bluetooth is on and the same apple ID and network. What can be the problem ?

Feb 15, 2016 2:46 PM in response to savita88by ManSinha,This is a hunch - on the summary page of iTunes - if you scroll down there is an option to sync the iPhone to the Mac via WiFi - is that checked and can you actually do it?

Feb 15, 2016 2:52 PM in response to ManSinhaby savita88,This option was not checked, I did it now, disconnected the cable but there is no indication of any possible connection via wifi (while both are on the same wifi - and as I mentioned , my son's MBP that is not connected with my iPhone in any way was seen on iPhone Airdrop immediately
