Q: Passes not adding to Passbook from Safari in Mac

I can add passes to Passbook directly from apps on my iPhone or from Mail on on my iPhone without any problems. However, if I use the 'Add to Passbook' button in Safari on my Mac they don't appear to add even though everything indicates that they have. For example, if I buy a cinema ticket online I click on the branded 'Add to Passbook' button on the confirmation page, the pass will appear and when I click on the 'Add to Passbook' button on that the pass slides off to the top of the screen to show it's been added. When I look at Passbook on my phone, however, it doesn't show up. If I try to add it again, it says 'This pass has already been added to Passbook'. I can still add it to Passbook if I access it through my email on my phone, not my Mac.

I'm signed into the same iCloud account on both devices, have Passbook switched on in the iCloud settings (and yes, I've tried switching it off, restarting the device and switching it on again), and both devices have a good internet connection. Refreshing the passes never does anything.

Is there something I'm missing here, or are other people experiencing the same?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
