Q: Trouble signing on.Cursor"runs"without touching keys.Keyboard locks.Tracpad disconnects.Need to shut down and start up again before both work again.Any guidance will be appreciated.

TROUBLE SIGNING ON.

CURSOR "Runs" AFTER I TOUCH ONE KEY AND THEN KEYBOARD LOCKS AND TRAC PAD DISCONNECTS.

NEED TO SHUT DOWN I MAC AND TURN ON AGAIN AND KEYBOARD OPERATES OK.

THIS IS AN INTERMIITANT BUT ANNOYING PROBLEM AND I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE SOME GUIDANCE.

Hi,

Please do not type in all caps, that is considered shouting which I'm sure you are not trying to do.

Have you had an opportunity to read If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad aren't working as expected - Apple Support ?

Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and check again. Report the results.

TThank you for your response.
THe wireless keyboard has been replaced,.It is brand new and is connected.

the Mouse works and is connected.

I noticed,however,that when the incident occurs,the tracpad turns off.

is there a possible connection between keyboard and tracpad?

Really appreciate your.help.
