Q: I presently have OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, meet all the qualifications I can see for an upgrade to El Capitan, but get the message "OS X cannot be installed" on my hard drive after a reference to Time Machine being run on the drive.
My MacBook Pro is Mid 2012. 2.5 GHZ Intel Core i5, memory 16 GB 1600 MZz DDR3 and I have 229.18 GB of free storage.
