Q: FaceTime and iMessages require primary email verification

I am trying to activate FaceTime and iMessage on my iPad 2 with iOS 9.2.1 using my Apple ID (primary email).

The problem is that I get a message from both FaceTime and iMessage saying that I need to use a verified email address. I have connected to iCloud with no problems with the same email and password.

It works fine on both my Mac and iPhone 4, I have this problem only on my iPad.

I was sent into the Manage Apple ID site but there is no option to resend a verification email for the primary email address.

Can anyone help with that? Thanks!
