apple tv will not show wifi net works , hooked up my friends Apple tv and his will show wifi networks?

    Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
     

    It looks like your Apple TV doesn't show Wi-Fi networks but another Apple TV in the same location does.
     

    I recommend using the steps in Get help with Wi-Fi networks on your Apple TV to troubleshoot this situation. Start with resetting your Apple TV, modem and wireless router, even though the other Apple TV can connect:
     

    Restart your Apple TV, router, and modem
     

    After you restart each device, see if you still need help. On Apple TV (4th generation), go to Settings > System and select Restart. On Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), go to Settings > General and select Restart.
     

    Unplug your router and your cable or DSL modem from power. Then plug them back in.
